Re-Woven is an exhibition of hand-woven silk textiles made by fashion designer Benny Ong and the Council of Weavers (Laos). An internationally-acclaimed fashion designer, his works of woven fabrics reflected a different side of his work. The designs on the textiles were simple, allowing the beauty of the material itself to shine through.

Our meeting with the client (SAM) and Benny Ong proved extremely constructive. We enjoyed our conversation with Benny and came to be clear on the ideas that he wanted to carry through the design. One of the more important ideas on his mind were to highlight the beauty of the textiles and its textures, and thus the invite was made with a translucent material. Design-wise, simplicity and elegance were the keywords we stuck to, and to let the artwork take centre stage.
