Modern Asian Architecture Network (mAAN) is a loosely knit network of architectural researchers and specialists committed to study, preserve, and rehabilitate the modern architecture, townscape, and civil-engineering heritages in Asia. To revitalise their website, we stripped the old website of its unnecessary ornate details and reorganised the navigation structure. Functionality wise, we (hoped to) give it more revisit-bility by having news and ability to submit projects online, etc.
We didn’t want the website to look like it was just an archival of relics, but to portray mAAN with a framework for furthering Asian architecture. Lines in geometrically progressive distances demarcate the menu and submenus. While having a tight calculated grid, the layout should look like it’s expanding infinitely.
